They ensure that soils for landscape, green infrastructure, sports amenity, agriculture and restoration projects are correctly surveyed, specified, tested, sourced, manufactured and managed.
Much of our work relates to solving the problems caused by compaction, infertility, poor soil management, lack of adequate drainage, drought, salinity, contamination and poor specification.
Careful planning at the initial stages of a project can ensure its long-term success. Increasingly, we are commissioned at the earliest stages to maximise the opportunities and cost savings of re-using site-won materials and to help prevent future problems occurring e.g. plant failure, flooding, ecological loss, contamination, programme delays.
